A retro panda dial chronograph - the light dial with contrasting dark sub-dials that defined racing watches of the 1960s and 70s. The 1782 runs on the Japanese VK63 meca-quartz movement, which combines quartz timekeeping accuracy with a mechanical chronograph module.
The practical difference: when you press the pusher, the chronograph hand sweeps smoothly and snaps back instantly, exactly like a mechanical chronograph - rather than ticking in steps like an ordinary quartz watch.
